The 3-day Certified Software Project Manager Preparatory Workshop is designed specifically to help quality assurance professionals prepare for the CSPM examination. The course provides a review of the project management fundamentals which the Certified Software Project Manager must understand. It also covers the PM domains in the CBOK. The completion of this course along with the necessary practical experience and related resource familiarity will help prepare the candidate to sit for the CSPM examination |

This course will cover 11 domains of the CSPM Body of Knowledge required for CSPM Exam.
Knowledge Category 1 - Principles of Software Project (Mandatory) Domain Description:
- Vocabulary, concepts and principles of SW project management
- Broad overview of the other domains
- Major emphasis on the role of the Project Manager from start of a SW development project to conclusion
Knowledge Category 2 - Risk Management Domain Description:
- Principles of risk
- Risk analysis
- How to qualify risks
- Internal control & security
Knowledge Category 3 - People, Role of Senior Management Domain Description:
- Understanding how to manage SW development project
- How to train individuals in the skills needed for SW development
- Human resource issues
- Customer liaison
Knowledge Category 4 - Schedule & Budget Management Domain Description:
- Principles on how to create a SW project budget and schedule using either manual processes or automated packages
- Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Estimation - FPA and other methods cost & budget management
Knowlege Category 5 - Project Control Domain Description:
- Relationship of control to risk
- Understanding of the principles of quality control
- Status reporting
- Scope management
- Change control plan
Knowledge Category 6 - Business Requirements Domain Description:
- Attributes of a good requirements
- Change management
- How to trace requirements throughout the SW development
Knowledge Category - 7 Status Reporting & Measurement Domain Description:
- Principles of measurement
- How to develop reports including of the status of development of SW project
- Managing the status of the project time
- Familiarity with measurement concepts
Knowledge Category 8 - Software Development Processes Domain Description:
- Understanding of how processes are developed and improved
- Understanding of the importance of entrance & exit criteria
- Understanding of the major phases of SW development
- Types of deliverables produced during each phase, and the objective of each deliverable prototyping
Knowledge Category 9 - Verification and Validation Domain Description:
- Understanding of the SW testing process
- Understanding of SW test plan and how to integrate it into the project plan
- Understanding of defects, defect management, defect description and defect prioritization
Knowledge Category 10 - Software Environment/ Tools Domain Description:
- Understanding of the type of environment
- Selection of specific SW development processes and tools associated with that process
- Understanding of the types of tools most commonly associated with SW development
Knowledge Category 11 - Configuration Management Domain Description:
- How the various components of SW development are controlled
- Activities associated with SW maintenance/ enhancements and how changes to a SW system should be controlled
- Change control
- Integration management
- Configuration management board

| Payment Condition : |
Payment must be paid in full at least 7 days prior to the start of the class. The payment can be made:
1. Cheque should be made payable to "Software Park Thailand#2"

2. Account transfer to "Software Park Thailand #2" Saving account no. 324-2-56262-0, Siam Commercial Bank, Chaengwattana Branch. Then, fax the deposit slip to +66 2 583 2884.
Notes:
- Withholding tax (3%) is exempt.
- Should you need to withdraw, you must send the notice of the withdrawal in writing no later than 7 working days before the commencement date. The cancellation less than 7 days will be subject to a fine of 40% of the fee.
- Software Park Thailand reserves the rights to cancel courses due to unforeseen circumstances.
